February Favorites

Hi ladies! Today I've got a post on the products I've been loving in February. I can't believe it's March! We all know what that means....soon we'll be getting lovely and warm weather! Hopefully anyways. Spring/Summer are always so gorgeous in London. I love going to the parks and just enjoying the weather and I can't wait to do that again this year.

Eyes:
Nothing too fancy this month, which I feel was my motto for the majority of this month with all my makeup. I did very neutral eyes and often didn't bother with a crease color.

L'oreal Telescopic Mascara: I like mascaras with thinner/smaller brushes (like this one) because of my small eyes because it makes application easier. While the brush is a bit flimsy, which I feel leads to some minor clumping, it's fine when you wiggle it about.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese: I've been using this in my inner corner to make my eyes pop. I've used it once or twice as a base, but I do prefer using my MAC Bare Study paint pot instead when going for a neutral look.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Eldorado: When I felt like adding some fun to my eye look, I'd line part of my lower lash line with this pencil, in place of a white pencil like the one above.

MAC Satin Taupe: Such a lovely color for all over the lid, and then I work it up into the crease for a really simple look.

MAC Bare Study Paint Pot: I've been using this just about every time I've worn eye makeup. I always put it on over a primer though, just to be safe. I find it adds a bit more of a pop of color to any shadow I put over it, whether it be Satin Taupe or Sin from the Naked Palette.

Lips:
Once again, I've kept it very simple this month with the lips.

MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipglass: I really haven't been wearing much on my lips this month, because anytime I've gone out I've been going out with the idea of stopping to grab a coffee and I haaaate when I get lipstick all over my coffee cup, haha. So instead, when I have worn color, I've just worn this lipglass because it's such a gorgeous color and it's easy enough to wipe off before I sip.

Nivea Milk & Honey Lipbalm: Been using this pretty much daily. The scent has grown on me. I'd still love for it to smell like Lush's Honey I Washed The Kids though...:D

Face:

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup in Buff and Revlon Photo Ready in Vanilla: For the majority of the month, I've been mixing these two foundations and feel it gives me such good coverage. The only con being it can feel a bit heavy, so on days when I don't feel like slapping on so much makeup, I'll only wear the Photo Ready.

Body:

It's Raining Men Shower Gel: MMMMMM is all I need to say, really. Smells amazing and leaves the skin feeling soft. The scent lingers on your skin once you leave the shower as well, which I love in a shower gel.

The Body Shop Love Etc Perfume: I've been favoring this over my DKNY perfume. I can't help it, it just smells sooooo nice. I really do need to get the full size at some point...

What were some of your favorites this month?

*I have a nail polish in the first photo, but then I realized it was one I actually used in January, not February, so I didn't end up including it in the rest of the post. Thanks to my lovely sister for pointing that out!

Recent Buys!

Hi ladies! Just figured I'd do a post on some items I've bought over the last couple of weeks, including mini reviews on any of the items I've actually used.

No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow in Truffle:
8.00 pounds (only 3 pounds with the 5 pound off voucher!)

Swatch:
So I actually wanted to get the Beautifully Matte foundation with my voucher, but when I went to the shop they didn't have a color light enough for me. So I then decided to check in the next Boots down the road. But again, the foundation colors started from Shade 3. Well, turns out, there are no Shades 1 or 2! What a disappointment. I feel like I possibly could of pulled off Shade 3, but I didn't want to risk it, so I just grabbed the next best thing....I guess. Didn't want to bore my boyfriend and make him wait around too long, so I just picked up this eyeshadow. It looked pretty enough, but it's just kind of a typical brown I guess. I didn't need it, would of preferred the foundation, but such is life!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle & Aussie Mega Shampoo:
3.67 pounds for the shampoo, and 4.69 for the conditioner (but they were on offer, 2 for 6 pounds)

I've heard a lot of things about the 3 Minute Miracle, so I decided to try it out. Besides, we were getting low on shampoo, so I figured it was a good deal (yes, that's how I justify my spending, tehee). I've used both and am quite happy! I love the smell of the shampoo, it reminds me of grapes or something. The deep conditioner left my hair feeling soft, but I wasn't sure if that's just because I was really conscious of the fact that I was using a new product, so I was looking out for it, or what. So I decided the real test would be what it looked like the next day. Normally, my hair is a bit greasy a day after washing, but even by the 3rd day I was quite impressed with how it looked! So I plan on using this conditioner weekly.

Botanics Soothing Eye Make Up Remover, Nivea Milk & Honey Lip Balm, and No 7 Precision Eyeliner Brush:
3.05 pounds for the eye makeup remover, 1.99 for the lip balm, and 6.64 for the brush.

I'm running low on eye makeup remover, and I've heard good things about the Botanics one, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I used it tonight and am rather impressed. It didn't sting the eye area at all and removed all of the makeup effortlessly. Looks like I've found a new go to remover!

I bought the lip balm because I've been wanting it for ages, but sadly it doesn't smell as yummy as I had hoped. I was imagining Honey I Washed The Kids type smells, but sadly, no. I'll still use it anyways!

I bought the No7 eyeliner brush for my MAC gel liner. I've been struggling with application of it because none of my brushes are thin/small enough for my rather small eyes. So I grabbed this one, because it's the only one this particular Boots had, and because it looked precise enough and I figured since it was the No 7 brand it would be nice enough. I'll try it out tomorrow and see how it goes!

Well that's all! Nothing too exciting, just some essentials really. What were some of your recent buys?

July Favorites

Figured I'd do one of these since it's something I've seen bloggers do lots of sooo here are my July favorites!!

Skirt: I'm not a shorts kind of gal, so two of my favorites in the summer are dresses and skirts, especially for those hot days. This one I got from Target and I find to be incredibly comfy! I wore it to the Paramore concert cos I thought I might get too hot in jeans and while I was very comfy, it happened to be a windy day so it kept blowing up, haha! So I had a few Marilyn Monroe moments but ohh well. Haven't gotten a decent photo of me in it yet, but here's one I took on my webcam (and wow, all those stuffed animals in the back make me look 12, HAHAH)

Purse: I've been complaining for ages now that I need a new purse cos I love the black one I have, but it's tooo big and it's my carry on so it holds a shit load. So I recently got this at TJ Maxx for quite cheap. It was 22 bucks and it had been previously like 70 bucks or something? Who knows if that's really the case, but whatever, it made me feel better about buying it! It's a really bright green ish aqua ish (lol) color! It's not tiny but it is perfect for holding my wallet, camera, and a cardigan.

Cardigan: Another goody that I got from Target, at the same time as I got the skirt above. I love it sooo much, I swear I've been wearing it the majority of this month, LOL. It's really light and flowy (aka PERFECT for the summer) and goes with just about anything. I always like having something with me incase I get slightly cold, and this is perfect for that. (ignore the Runaways inspired makeup, lol)

Arizona Half & Half Lite: I've always loved Arizona Iced Teas, but I just recently tried this one, which is half iced tea and half lemonade. I'm prolly a bit behind and it's prolly been around for ages, BUT HEY, I've been over in London, so you can't blame me, tehe! But yeah, YUMMY, that's all I can say about that, lol. They're always really cheap (99 cents) and 125 calories for the whole bottle, which I can't complain with. Plus, check out that sexy guy on the label. Jk...

Victoria's Secret Body Mist in Pure Seduction: I've had this for agesss (as you can prolly tell, the bottle is pretty used up) but I didn't bring it back with me to London so I just recently rediscovered how much I loveee it when I got home for the summer. Smells sooo nice and since that's the only descriptive words I can think of, I'll just write what's on the bottle, LOL. "Casaba Melon, Plum, and Freesia." YUMMO.

Nivea Pearly Shine Lip Balm: This has been a favorite of mine since I got it a couple months ago. It's your average lip balm but with a "pearly shine." So while it moisturizes your lips, you also get a lil bit of color/tint and shine with it. I really love it. It's all I wear on my lips most of the time since lipsticks can be too drying and lip glosses are too sticky icky. It also smells really nice.

Proactiv Refining Mask: I've suffered with pimples (like most girls eh?) since I was a teenager and I still haven't found the magical cure, but I'm getting closer to clearer skin, but I suppose that's a post for another day. LOL. Lame. Not but really, I used the Proactiv range and it didn't do any miracles for me, so I eventually gave up on it, since why should I bother paying so much for something that doesn't work? Ya, I know, makes sense. But the one thing I do like from the range is the refining mask. I use it about once a week and I feel like it really helps clear up my pimples, even if they do come back a week later, LOL.

Biore Shine Control Moisturiser: I never really thought I needed to bother with moisturiser since I have such oily skin as it is, so why add to it? but then I read that if you don't add some of the moisture back in that you take out while cleaning your face, your skin creates even MORE oil and I was like, not cooool with that, LOL. So I decided to start using this and I've been using it for ages now and love it. While it doesn't keep the oil away ALL DAY (trust me, nothing will for this face), I do feel like it helps keep the oil at bay for a good chunk of the day. And again, YUMMY SMELL.

I've also been loving Lean Cuisine Meals and DUNKACINO'S!!! I think I spelled that right. But they've been around forever and they're half hot chocolate, half coffee, 100PERCENTDELICIOUS. Lol.

What about everyone else? What's your favorites for this month? (yes, I pose this question to all of my TWO followers, hahaha)
