Smokey Valentine's Day Eye

Hi ladies! Tonight I've got a Smokey Valentine's Day eye look for you. Again, I used my Coastal Scents Think Pink palette. It turned out a bit more purply than I intended, but I think it can still work for Valentine's Day!

Close Ups:

What's everyone's plan for Valentine's Day? Me and my boyfriend haven't really made any, other than split the cost of a Kinect for our Xbox, tehe. Can't wait for it to come, the dancing games look really fun and like a good work out.

Tis The Season for Holiday Eyes!

Today I felt like doing some Christmas eye looks! I realize tomorrow is Halloween and there's still plenty of time before Christmas, but I always get excited far in advance! So here are two looks I've done with the Christmas theme in mind. When I think of Christmas I think of red, green, and white, but obviously I wasn't putting a red eyeshadow anywhere near my eyes. So I largely used whites and greens:

Eye 1:
Eye 2:
Eye 1 Closed:
Eye 2 Closed:
What I Used:
For Eye 2, I used two colors from the E.L.F Beauty Book: Smokey Eyes Edition. I used the green color on the lid/crease, and the very light frosty blue as a highlight.

For Eye 1, I used two colors from my Kat Von D True Romance Palette in True Love. I used Peanut on the lid/crease and Missy as a highlight.

On both eyes, I used Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara and E.L.F Eyelid Primer.

The key tool in both of these looks is the E.L.F Shimmer Eyeliner Pencils! On Eye 1 I used the E.L.F Shimmer Pencil in Twinkle Teal to line my upper lid and Aveda's Eye Definer in Lily for my lower lid. On Eye 2 I used the E.L.F Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil in Grassy Green to line my upper lid and the Bourjois Khol & Contour Eyeliner for the waterline.

So is everyone else as excited for Christmas as I am?!

EOTD's featuring Sleek's Storm Palette

My boyfriend was messing around and made his own ring light and asked me to pose for some photos with it, so I decided to do some looks using my Sleek Storm palette! So here they are:

Look One:
Lid: Second Row, Second Color.
Crease: Second Row, Fourth Color.
Highlight: First Row, Second Color.

Look Two:
Lid: Second Row, Third Color.
Crease: Second Row, Fifth Color.
Highlight: First Row, First Color.
Liner: Rebel. (Kind of happened by accident, but I didn't properly wipe off the liner from my Bad Girl look!)

I also used Urban Decay's Primer Potion in Eden, Maybelline's Define a Lash Mascara, and Bourjois' Khol & Contour Eyeliner. I really love this palette!

EOTD's featuring Rimmel Three-Sum Shadows

I tried out a look each with the two goodies I got from the Pound shop the other day: Rimmel Three-Sum Eyeshadows in Naughty and Breath Taking.

Other Products Used:

Maybelline Lash Stiletto in Black

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Zero

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden

e.l.f Eye Shadow Brush

Studio Tools Brushes (Crease, Liner, and Medium Shadow)

The most pigmented of all the colors is the purple one from Breath Taking. It's not too big of a shame that the others aren't as pigmented, because you can still create a nice, more natural look rather than if you had really intense colors.

Naughty:

The green color on the lid, the dark gray as a liner and a little bit on the outer crease, and the pink color under the brow bone.

Breath Taking:

The purple color on the lid and as a liner, the pink color in the crease, and the gray color under the brow bone.

Enjoy! =)

Eyes of the Day (2 smokey eyes)

I got the inspiration to try out some smokey eyes from some tutorial On Demand, haha. So naturally, I reached for my Kat Von D palette.

(I just didn't feel like doing both my eyes, then wiping off the makeup, then doing it all over again, so I did one on each eye, tehe. Wow I'm lazy tonight!)

The purple smokey out didn't turn out...smokey enough? LOL. I think me trying to blend with q-tips just ended up taking the color off? Who knows. I REPEAT, I need some proper brushes. But I really like how the bronze smokey eye turned out..even if it's not hugely smokey? Let's call it a DAY smokey eye, hahahaha. Or let's just not call it a smokey eye at all, shall we? ;)

I basically also copied how the lady On Demand said to do a smokey eye. I put the lid colors on (a dark sparkly brown and purple) then the black color on the inner and outer corner of each eye, and blended inwards. Then I just added a highlight color underneath the brow (sparkly beige and sparkly white). Hope that makes sense! I'm too lazy at the moment to make diagrams, lol, sorry, but it is 2 am! =P

Eye of the Day (purple+brown)

Purple/Brown Look.

Just a look I did the other day when I was bored. Using none other than my Kat Von D palette. Yes, I clearly require more eyeshadows, perhaps when I'm working again, haha. Or I'll sneak some in when doing some back to school shopping, who knows! :D Not sure how I feel about it, I kind of like it, what do you guys think? Again, I didn't use my primer (I'm cheap, I like to save it for when I'm actually going out), so it looks kind of shitty (excuse my language).

The lid looks black, which is kind of weird, since it's a dark purple, but turned out darker than I had hoped? If I had wanted black I would of used black! Lol. Oh welllll.

Kat Von D True Love Eyeshadow Palette: True Romance

I decided to do some looks using my most recent, most expensive, and favorite bit of makeup at the moment: my Kat Von D True Love Eyeshadow Palette in True Romance:

I was going on about how much I wanted it and my twinnie got it for me for my birthday. I wasn't expecting it so it was extra nice. HEHE. I've been constantly using the purple side, but not so much the bronze side. The palette is 32 dollars, but that's fair enough because you get 8 high quality shadows...minus 1, haha. One of them, Benji, is a cream shadow and as I've read before in reviews, it dries out after one use. Lame, but what can ya do?

Purple Look:

Paramore Look (the eyeshadow I did for the concert!)
This is essentially the same eye as above, but instead of the white color, I've used the Peanut color instead for under the brow.

Bronze Eye:
Because I didn't use any primer, I couldn't be bothered and don't feel like wasting it, haha, this eye is a lil toned down and natural but I like that. For the lid, I mixed the black and dark brown together to make one color. =)

Maybelline Silk Glam Eye Studio

A purple eye using Maybelline Silk Glam Eye Studio:

I created a look using the Maybelline Silk Glam Eye Studio in Purple Drama. You get 4 colors; one for the base/under the eyebrow, one for the lid, one for the crease, and one to line your eye with.

Besides the Eye Studio palette, I also used Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden (a matte nude color that's meant to make the eyeshadow stay put and not crease), Bourjois Khol & Contour eyeliner in Ultra Black (just your basic black eyeliner), and Revlon Fabulash Mascara in Black (I stole it from my sister, she never uses it, and I don't normally either, but I figured for this look, why not).

I really like this product, I think the palette makes for a really pretty eye. My only issue is that it's a cream so it can be a lil clumpy and then it turns into a powder, which I do like, but it's really powdery and can get on your eyelashes etc etc if you're not careful (see photo below). Also, the brushes aren't that great, but that's to be expected, and it's hard to line with them, but I sure do try, haha. It's best to use a proper lining brush but I don't have one, so that's why you don't really see the liner color in this look. But other than that, it's really shimmery and for only about 8 pounds (I bought it in London), not bad at all!
