October Favorites

I don't have any eyeshadows up there, because once again, I stuck with my Naked palette for the majority of the month. But since I have so many new Sleek palettes, I'm deffo going to be playing with some new eye looks, something a bit more vibrant, for this November.

Eyes:

e.l.f Eyelid Primer and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero. To be honest, I find the e.l.f primer to work almost as well as my Urban Decay primer's. It's not as thick as the Eden formula, but is just as thick as the original version of UDPP, and as long as you make sure you rub it in well and let it dry, it works excellently! Kind of makes me question the need to shell out far more money for the high end brand primers...

Lips:

Vaseline Lip Therapy with Cocoa Butter, Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Rose Petal, and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Nude Lustre. I've been using the Vaseline on my lips constantly. It's great for those lazy days when you don't feel like wearing much on your lips and I always apply it before bed time and wake up with smooth lips.

At the beginning of the month, I wore this lip combo a lot:
Face:

No7 Quick Cover Blemish Stick in Fair, BareMinerals Concealer in Bisque, 17 Instant Glow Bronzing Powder in Light, The Body Shop Blusher Brush, The Body Shop Special Edition Cheek & Face Powder in Berry, and No7 Natural Blush in Candy Pink.

I've been reaching for both of these blushers lately. I love the matte pink, especially because shimmers aren't always that attractive on me. I also love the Body Shop blusher. It gives me a really nice autumn flushed face.
I stopped using the bronzer at the end of the month, but it was really great for giving my face a bit of a lift and some added color.
I looove this concealer duo. I use the No 7 one first, which is so light and creamy and covers nicely, and then I set it with the Bare Minerals concealer, which gives some extra coverage, which my acne scarred face badly needs. =(

Do you have any of the same favorites as me? Oh, and Happy Halloween! What was everyone? I didn't dress up. Just spending the night in. Might watch Paranormal Activity again. haha.

Tis The Season for Holiday Eyes!

Today I felt like doing some Christmas eye looks! I realize tomorrow is Halloween and there's still plenty of time before Christmas, but I always get excited far in advance! So here are two looks I've done with the Christmas theme in mind. When I think of Christmas I think of red, green, and white, but obviously I wasn't putting a red eyeshadow anywhere near my eyes. So I largely used whites and greens:

Eye 1:
Eye 2:
Eye 1 Closed:
Eye 2 Closed:
What I Used:
For Eye 2, I used two colors from the E.L.F Beauty Book: Smokey Eyes Edition. I used the green color on the lid/crease, and the very light frosty blue as a highlight.

For Eye 1, I used two colors from my Kat Von D True Romance Palette in True Love. I used Peanut on the lid/crease and Missy as a highlight.

On both eyes, I used Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara and E.L.F Eyelid Primer.

The key tool in both of these looks is the E.L.F Shimmer Eyeliner Pencils! On Eye 1 I used the E.L.F Shimmer Pencil in Twinkle Teal to line my upper lid and Aveda's Eye Definer in Lily for my lower lid. On Eye 2 I used the E.L.F Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil in Grassy Green to line my upper lid and the Bourjois Khol & Contour Eyeliner for the waterline.

So is everyone else as excited for Christmas as I am?!

EOTD's featuring Sleek's Storm Palette

My boyfriend was messing around and made his own ring light and asked me to pose for some photos with it, so I decided to do some looks using my Sleek Storm palette! So here they are:

Look One:
Lid: Second Row, Second Color.
Crease: Second Row, Fourth Color.
Highlight: First Row, Second Color.

Look Two:
Lid: Second Row, Third Color.
Crease: Second Row, Fifth Color.
Highlight: First Row, First Color.
Liner: Rebel. (Kind of happened by accident, but I didn't properly wipe off the liner from my Bad Girl look!)

I also used Urban Decay's Primer Potion in Eden, Maybelline's Define a Lash Mascara, and Bourjois' Khol & Contour Eyeliner. I really love this palette!

FOTD: Good Girl Bad Girl

Hey girlies! I've decided to do a bit of a "crazy" face using the Sleek Good Girl Bad Girl palettes. I did one eye with the Good Girl palette and another eye with the Bad Girl palette. I then went on with the theme and used two different blushes and two different lipsticks! So here we go:
Bad Girl Side:
Eyes: Twilight on the lid, Underground and Blade in the crease, Rebel as a liner, Gullible as a highlight, and Innocence directly under the brow.
Lips: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Birthday Suit.
Face: Raspberry Coulis from the Good Girl Palette as a blush.

Good Girl Side:
Eyes: Candy Floss on my lid, Pink Punch and Cupcake in the crease, Morello as a liner, Meringue as a highlight, and Lychee directly under the brow.
Lips: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Pink Blush.
Face: Candy Floss as a blush.

So I've decided you definitely can use the eyeshadows from the Good Girl palettes as blushes! On both eyes, I also used E.L.F's Eyelid Primer, Maybelline Define A Lash Mascara, and Bourjois Khol and Contour Eyeliner on the waterline.

Sleek Good Girl Bad Girl Palettes

Hi guys! Here I have the new Good Girl Bad Girl palettes. I had to run out the day they were released to grab them. Even though Sleek are going to be having a 50% off sale very soon, I just had to have them NOW. Lol. That's the story of a makeup addict I suppose...
I think the packaging is adorable BUT I do prefer the plastic packaging just because it's more durable. The boxes look like things that'll have to be thrown out. Also, I would of loved if the Good Girl palette had actually been pink, tehe, but now I'm just being silly.

Good Girl Palette:

This is the palette I was most excited about...I'm not sure why. Pinks, especially this bright, aren't really that wearable and I've found this deffo isn't my fave out of the two palettes. I went to use it today and was like "Hm...what can I actually wear from this?" Also, some of the colors are a bit chalky. =( Oh well. It'll be good for "fun" or "crazy" makeup I suppose, but otherwise I can't really see myself wearing the colors. But I have heard some people saying they'd be good for blushes, so maybe I will have a use for the palette afterall! If I end up using any as blushes, I'll deffo update you guys on it.

Bad Girl Palette:

Far more wearable colors! How gorgeous is Twilight? I'm definitely going to create a look using it tomorrow! These colors look great for a smokey eye. When I create some looks using them I'll make sure to post some photos!

Has anyone else snatched these up? What are your thoughts?

Sleek Haul

Hey guys, here I have a Sleek haul from Sunday when my boyfriend and I were out celebrating our 2 year anniversary. I was so excited about the upcoming release of the new palettes (they came out today! and yes, I bought both, lol, but that's a post for later) that I wanted to get some other things. My bf bought them for me as part of my gift. Isn't he sweet?

Firstly, I picked up the blusher in Flamingo:
I wanted another matte blush and this seemed like a good choice. I knew it was risky since it's so bright, but when applied with a light hand, it's lovely!
Secondly, I picked up the Storm palette:

Top Row:
Second Row:
A look I tried out using the palette. On the lid, I used the top right color, and in the crease I used the bottom left color. Under my brow I used the second color in the top row. (Wow that's confusing, thank gosh the new palettes give the eyeshadows names!!)

Tomorrow I'll try and post the swatches for the Good Girl and Bad Girl Palettes, even though I'm sure you've all seen them by now. =)

NOTD: e.l.f Coral

Since my last nail polish was chipping and coming off, I decided to do my nails today! I got this e.l.f nail polish in Coral awhile ago, but haven't had the chance to use it until now. It's suuuuch a gorgeous color. I really can't get over how pretty it is, lol. I keep admiring my nails.

It took 3 coats and dries pretty quickly. e.l.f's nail polishes, which are only a 1.50 each, are great quality, and one of the best products, I believe, from their line.

What do you guys think? Do you love it as much as I do?
